Q: Is Trek Travel affiliated with Trek Bicycles?
A: Yes, Trek Travel LLC is a subsidiary of Trek Bicycle Corporation.

Q: What is included in the cost of my trip?
A: Included in the cost of every trip are all accommodations; most meals, snacks, and drinks for each day's ride; cocktail gathering each evening; the knowledge, support, and camaraderie of experienced guides; the use of a Trek 7700 hybrid bike or a Trek OCLV carbon-fiber 5200 road bike; private tours and tastings; entrance fees to all group and individual events; daily route support; all transportation during the trip; luggage transfers; comprehensive trip literature and complimentary Trek merchandise; all gratuities for special events, local guides, transfers, hotels, and restaurants.

Q: Is there an additional fee to ride a Trek 5200 road bike on my trip?
A: Not at all. Included in the price of every Trek Travel trip is the use of a custom-fit full-suspension Trek 7700 hybrid or a Trek OCLV carbon-fiber 5200 road bike. In addition to providing the use of a bike, all bikes are fitted with a Trek handlebar bag; 2 water bottles and water bottle holders; your choice of flat pedals or pedals with cages; and the use of a Trek helmet fit specifically for you.

Q: Will Trek Travel transfer my luggage during the week?
A: Yes, Trek Travel will transport your luggage to each hotel. A: Certainly. Upon booking your trip you will receive a guest packet that includes various recommendations for pre- and post-trip accommodations. Your Trip Consultant can also recommend accommodations. Trek Travel advises that your make your reservations early as most hotels fill up during the high season (April to November).

Fitness Planning

Q: What is the best way to train for a Trek Travel trip?
A: The best way to prepare for a Trek Travel trip is to ride your bike. You should feel comfortable getting back on a bike after riding an average of 35 miles for several days in a row — in a combination of hills and level stretches and days with mostly rolling hills — the kind of terrain that you can expect to find on your vacation. If for some reason you cannot ride regularly or are limited in the amount of riding you can do, it is still important that you engage in another cardiovascular activity that suits your lifestyle, such as jogging, walking, swimming or aerobics. Please contact Trek Travel at 1.866.464.TREK for more information on preparing for your vacation. A Trip Consultant will be happy to assist you.

What to Pack

Q: What should I bring?
A: You will receive a complete packing list after you have signed up for a trip. You are welcome to contact Trek Travel at 1.846.464.TREK for more information on the packing list specific to your trip.
